How it all began

Back in 2016, in a garage in Pleasanton, California, James, Asif, and I decided to do something with our love for leather. The leather goods we wanted were way out of our budget, and the affordable options just didn’t measure up.

So, we began searching for artisans who shared our passion for craftsmanship and learned how to create the kind of products we’d always dreamed of. After validating our first pairs, we started small, opening shops on Etsy, eBay, RebelsMarket, and other marketplaces.

After selling over 20,000 pairs of shoes and bags on marketplaces, we realized we needed better control over our products and customer experience.

In 2023, we began building our independent brand, and by 2024, Lambuti was launched—dedicated to bringing timeless, handcrafted leather goods to everyone who values quality without the high price tag.
